Welcome to the official internet site of AJAR Project. We are a four piece band from Southern New Hampshire. Our genre could be considered rock with some alternative and slight prog influence, spiked with a hint of jazz and blues.  Our sound has been compared to New England Weather: if you wait a few minutes, it will change. Our music is all original; however, we have been known to throw a cover or two into the mix every so often.  And let’s certainly not forget the occasional improvisational jam.

WHEB 100.3 in Portsmouth NH showcased our song Throwing Birds on their Local Licks program, so they have our music we encourage you to call up and request it. This is a very exciting time for us, and hopefully for our fans as well!   Currently, we are looking to book new venues, promoting the album, and getting back in touch with our fan base.  If you have a favorite venue in mind, please feel free to drop us a line and we shall see if we can make it happen. We invite you to come see a show, have a beer or three and get to know us! We made number 9 on the HIPPO"S top 15 Fans Bands and the funny thing is we did not know we were in the running. Big thanks to WNEC for hosting us for a great show and conducting a great interview with us on air it was a blast! Both our albums “Rebirth” and  "Dragons From the Napoleonic Era" are now available online for sale at Amazon , iTunes and other online outlets. We have added some samples to the discography section check em out. Many thanks to Bob Beal at BB3 studios for his amazing wizardry and insight on this project and to Julie Beal for feeding up and making us feel at home during the journey of recording two albums at once. Album cover is completed thanks to the amazing G she did us proud with this.

"This Wilton-based four-piece is a moving target, with straight-up rockers, moody jazz rock and synth groove all likely to crop up in their shows. The fuzz-toned dirty boogie of "Turbulence" from the band's debut album is a good example of Ajar Project putting all the pieces together -- soaring and sneering yet melodic and danceable. The occasional unplugged tune is a treat as well. "
